Back to school

I got interested in poetry at the start of the pandemic. For most of my life I avoided it like the plague. Now I find it intriguing. For me poetry is very much like scripture, there are many layers and each person gets a different meaning. I notice that meaning comes very slowly and it changes. Cheers to learning new things. I stumbled on this poet Christian Wiman and I’m liking his words.

…in the end we go to poetry for one reason, so that

we might more fully inhabit our lives and the world in

which we live them, and that if we more fully inhabit

these things, we might be less apt to destroy both.
